Yeah, although I went to a school that did not really push me like I needed to be pushed artistically this past year it did make me change completely my focus in art. I hate having regrets but I wish I would of concentrated a lot more on what the school's teaching habits and aesthetics were when I looked for colleges last year. But like I said in a way i needed to be at a place where I could realize what I really needed out of my education and pcad allowed me to see that I needed more. Pcad is solely focused on feeding the students a design aesthetic in approaching art and more of a business side of making a living off of art, and not so much personal commitment to art. And the small glimpses I have had of MICA, it really pursues the students creativity a lot more and allows for their personal voices to be very obvious in their work, which was totally lacking in this past year at PCAD. Good luck with everything! The work you have done, both your senior work and I saw you still continue to do murals! Very impressed at the work you did in new york for that public mural with the animals. It turns out I'll be in the dorms at MICA this fall, which is not so bad, they actually look great haha, crossing my fingers to get a spot in the gateway! But we'll see I'll definitely talk to you more this upcoming year!

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
