Have you ever written poetry for an "object of desire" and given it to that person, unsure of how he/she might react? Please answer here: [link]

I've been a published author for much of my life, but I haven't attempted to published my poetry (not in the past decade at least)—other than within the context of writing fiction. I haven't done any readings, etc. I'm curious how others will react to it. My other writings have always been created to entertain a specific audience, but my poetry has always been for me--and the few others I've shared it with from time to time.

If there seems to be interest, I may try other venues.
