Thank you! and they agreed just recently to pay PART of the initial bill, but we still have more bills to come, and the est of the initial bill to pay. 
And a lawyer is something we are thinking of, but because the police are not being forthcoming with information, we finally got a report, but it was pretty general and just things we knew/ were told already, and they claim there's still another investigation going on, for what we don't know. so.. it's just kinda a big confusing mess, and we'll see what happens
