Shalom, my friend! Welcome to DA. I love your avatar! I hope you're having fun with this community. I have been a resident here for almost a year and I'm still going strong. Thanks for visiting my gallery and for the favorite on my ByronID. I was so moved by your poem to Byron. Most people who haven't studied his life have no idea of his deepest desire and ambition for heroism and glory. All they know about him was that he was a poet and a womanizer. But those of us who love him know that he was so much more and how much he struggled.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I am having a lot of fun so far. I see a lot of possibilities here. I'm glad you liked the Byron poem. Byron has always held a special place in my heart. Its sad that he is as misunderstood today as he was during his own lifetime. Way back when I first came on-line (in 1997) I ran a LB themed website (at the time there weren't any Byron sites to speak of, so I made my own). Its been off-line for several years now. I have all the files still, but never seem to have the time to put the pieces back together. Maybe someday.

For many years when I travelled I always carried two books with me: a Bible and a small collection of Byron's poems. To this day I keep a portrait of him near my desk for inspiration.

My, but I do babble on, don't I? *L* Again, thank you for the visit and the kind words about my poem.
