Well, it's a good thing to have connections with characters, and also still make up their own personality! Both are good either way, one can relate to you, and the other could be the complete opposite of you! Either way, it would make things easier to write or draw!

For example, my character for kingdom hearts is Miyuki. She's a bit hyper but also a bit anti social when it revolves around a whole group of people. She gains anxiety when there's a problem, but with the help of Sora and the others, she slowly learns to overcome that. To me I am a bit headstrong and I charge straight to my problem to make it better, or in other times sneak my way past things, since having my combination of being both shy and overconfident.

Having characters is like splitting your soul out to make them part of you. Sometimes they can come out differently, but they are still connected to you!

Yup!!! I feel that way to all of my characters. They are me and my babies!!!!

Yes and I care and nurture all of my OC/children. I hate it when people use someone's oc without permission and then post it online. What agrivates me more is that they lie, saying they got permission, but you see the truth in the comments. Or even the person who posted it, can block the comment!

and this is why I love musicals. the musicals help me nurture ideas for characters.

( i dont know if this is a musical... ) but i really loved the movie of Les miserables
as well as phantom of the opera!!
