Wow, That is probably the best thing I've read all month. Thank you so much, I'm so happy that my words actually make a difference!
I'm very happy you're still drawing. Many of my teenage students sort of stop when they're 17ish. interest in boys/girls, jobs, and looking forward to college usually puts a damper on that. I was really impressed with the WarAngel you submitted to my fan art contest a year or so ago, so I'm glad you haven't wasted your talents!

I read the first chapter of your comic.  I really like the idea, I can't wait to see where it goes.

For the next issue consider your text.  It's not bad in this issue by any means, (you should of seen the first comic I ever made... yikes..)  But i think you can make the font a little bit smaller and condensed. That way it'll still be readable but you'll have more space for the drawings. If you're not sure how let me know and I'll try to give you some tips.

Best of luck and keep on making comics!

Yeah, it's funny you say that because I went through a lot of stuff with art recently. It's almost hard to believe I'm still drawing.
Oh haha thank you C:

Wow, thank you!! I've been writing it for 3 years, so hopefully others will enjoy the story as well! :D Writing was a lot more fun than the art.

I didn't even know the text would be a problem until I started trying to add it in, but it guess that's how it goes lol. It was very awkward. The littlest problems started coming up and I just kind of went "ah well, I'll do better next issue".
Oh of course~ Any tips would definitely help, if it's not too much trouble!

Thanks! :D

It's tough, I didn't even realize I wanted to draw seriously until I was 19ish almost 20.  So you have a leg up on me already.  So keep at it.

I also like writing the story more than drawing it.  Not that I don't like drawing the story. But after I write it, I get pumped for the story and want to share it with everyone.... then I realize I have to wait many months for me to draw it all out. It gets over whelming at times, but it's worth it!

You said you follow me on tumblr? Maybe I'll type up a lettering tutorial in the next few weeks for you.

Woah, how fast did you progress?? :O I've kind of always been into art because my dad and brother are, but my dad is light years ahead of me with his art skills.

Haha, yeah! That's exactly how I feel. I've written enough story for 2 years (I had to stop myself at that point) and it took me a month to draw one issue...and I was even rushing!

Yeah, I follow under my main account, giannathehuman. Oh wow, that would be great! :D

It's hard to say how fast I progressed. Because it feels like it took forever.  I didn't get my first paid comic gig until I was 28.  But even then I wasn't very good.  It's important though not to be concerned with how fast your progressing. Just be concerned with progressing.  You can't compare yourself to others in that regard.  Your dad is lightyears ahead of you because he's had decades more practice than you.

Everyone has their own strengths in art. For some it's colors, others its composition, others might be facial expressions.  It's like comparing apples to oranges and it's not fair for you to compare yourself to anyone else, they are not you, so you can't expect to be like them. (both art wise, and progress wise.)

As long as you're trying your honest to god hardest, you're doing fine. Just don't stop.  It's so cliche, but it's true: The only way you can fail is if you stop trying.  Otherwise success is just a matter of time.
