Don't use "etudiant" here it's used for something more official like "Je suis étudiant en Arts" "I'm a student in Arts"
you know it'sthe idea that it's something you're specialized in. Here you can use "J'étudies (or "j'apprends") le français à l'école (not "mon" here it's already implied that you're learning at your school). Donc (ainsi is a bit too formal like 'thus' it's good for a writting exam or a very formal moment) je parle un peu français (you can't say you 'sais-savoir' french cause you're talking about a language so you speak it and not know it, it's subbtle I know ^^
so you got :
J'étudies (j'apprends) le français à lécole, donc je parle un peu français.

You can use it but only if you talk about a more precise amount of words then,
like : "Je connais quelques mots de français." See ? Here "quelques" points a
matter of number.
You could have also used "beaucoup" pour "je connais beaucoup de mots
de français."

well i totally understand~~ most yaoi scans are in english and i rarely see any in french...tho there were a lot in chinese XD english wasnt my first language either and i really learned a lot from internet~~ my sister introduced me to chatrooms and such and at first i was just watching her talking to online ppl...and then i started to try to talk to them~ and one day I MAGICALLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT THEY WERE SAYING!! ~~ i even learned some extra words that are i guess "english slang" that i never wouldve learned in school~~
i do that too!!~~ i used to listen to english song a lot and the lyrics were helpful in learning XD but now im trying to learn japanese so...all of my songs in my mp3 are in japanese now XD
