Righto. Ever since an innocent update made my laptop go into an infinite loop trying to start up, I've been super fucking careful to keep from repeating losing my data or having to reload everything from an outdated backup folder. (Apologies for the swearing. The seriousness of that past situation sort of warranted it.)
