Thanks for your comment. The poem isn't meant to be revolting or disgusting in any sense that you picked up. I think it's clear enough, but its made even clearer with the simple biographical note that I've moved around a bit. I've only lived in this house 7 years, thus I've seen my neighbor grow from a young kid to a young man in highschool who brings home girlfriends and drinks. The seven years I've known him are only the most recent seven, not the first.

It was a moment when I admired his body, then recoiled at myself thinking - isn't he so young? what's wrong with me! ... but no, I've lived in this house seven years, he isn't so young anymore, is he?

I'll look at the poem again later to see if I can make it clearer.

And you're right, it does lack the oomph and message of my other works.
