well, the seaman driving the boat told us how they built the sub there in Hawaii, and there was some other Allied vessels in the area. there was something like 2 French ones and a British one. if i remember correctly, it was the first naval training exercise involving other nations. apparently someone was asleep at the switch or something cuz the French sub got blasted out of the water. they stopped doing those for a while after that.
