Well the best thing you can do is just look up the characters or the series the costume is from and find the best price for it. That's usually what I do.
thats the hard part i watch so many good animes its hard to pick a good show
Just narrow it down to what your favorite series are and go from there. It also may help to make a Future Cosplays album on Facebook. Find a character you want to cosplay from each of your favorite series and add them to the album. Then just go with the show you are most into at the moment. That's how i settled with Akiza Izinski from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's.

I am aware it is a hard decision to make.I cannot tell you how many times I have had my mind set on a certain cospaly and then changed it the moment I got into a different anime. It has happened so many times. This is the first time I actually went with something I had my mind set on. I am sure you will figure out something. Good luck!
