what u just wrote above about: i have just joined and stuff, u can write that in ur journal which is at the very top where it says DEVIANT ART, just below that, it should say: Deviant~trulyblue9 has something new messages (sometimes there will be events in these brackets right next to the something new messages, and it will say stuff like 4H, 6C and etc. click on those and you'll find out wat it is).
and then if u go across, u can see: Journal | Profile | Settings, go in these and customize ur account thingy. u can add journals in journals. u can customise ur profile in Profile. u can add pics and all that stuff in ur Settings.
and below that theres a submit button.

u can go around looking for pics u like and add them to ur favs, which is underneath the pic u r looking at, and then that person will know u added his pic to ur favs.
