Sure! This year we have used Photoshop, Illustrator(lots), Flash, Maya (just a little) and AfterEffects
Also we are going to touch on a basic game making software called GameSalad soon I heard

Yes ,I'm planning to apply for Master of animation games and interactivity at RMIT .I have been teaching my self since last year .

In first year we get basic skills and techniques plus some animation/art history. Next year we go into a more advanced 2D and 3D animations as well as collaborate in groups to produce stuff. And in third year, we work on a badass short film of our own AND prepare a professional level portfolio for work!
About getting into RMIT, if you are an international student (not a resident of Australia) you will have to go through the Foundation Studies program to get into animation. You just need to pass that to get into the degree and later Masters
