you've got great potential.
I'm not all that good myself, but i do think i could offer you some advice
proportions and shading have much to do with the quality of a picture,
on your featured deviation @ [link]
The hands and feet on man and the legs of the horse seem to be misproportioned
The dark lines on the man's hair seem to be forced... in that case I'm not sure if bold is best : \ maybe some light shading
The pose and overall composition of the picture are incredible.
