hm.. I dont know about pencil. its been my companion for all these years and like a 11th finger but, I'm also starting to get fond of balpointpens and fineliners, since they dont smudge and produce such clear and strong lines
well its got its pros and cons. fact is: pencil will always stay my first love

pens are great, but i wish ballpoints would generally have better quality...

that with the ballpointpens is quite true. its really to bad, because for me its the most similar to pencil, while fineliners and other pens are quite unforgiving if you fuck up
