Man, I swear people can be so ridiculous. It must be your popularity drawing in the trolls or something. Honestly, I have no idea how you have such a positive outlook on people.

You are in the right on this one and thank you for calling it what it is: bullying. I think it's so hypocritical that the people who like to pretend they're "advocates" resort to name calling, personal attacks and cruelty. It's nothing more than schoolyard bullying tactics while they hide behind the anonymity of the internet. It's cowardly and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm not saying that I'm perfect. I do tend to be mean to people too, sometimes. And I normally kick myself afterwards for having said or done mean things. But I'm pretty proud that I got it down to the point where it's "only" a reaction to mean behavior. ^^' Yeah, I'm not really perfect and a typical case of "do what I say, not what I do".

Sometimes the internet really baffles me. Everybody preaches tolerance and I haven't seen a single comment along the lines "this is a different opinion from mine, but I respect it".

Nobody's perfect, of course, but I think you're probably a lot nicer than I am. I'm pretty misanthropic.

I think one of the worst things about political correctness is that it teaches people that the correct response to seeing something you don't like is to be offended and attack the other person. There was something on the news the other day (here in America) about a professor (at Yale, I believe) basically telling a protesting student that sometimes you're going to hear things that you don't like. If I remember correctly, he was forced to resign after that statement caused a ridiculous degree of outrage on the campus. :iconfacepalmplz: That's the way the world is going, I guess.

... O_O
He... basically just told them that there are sometimes things they might not like and had to resign for that??

I... errr... o-o... Wow.

It's not the only thing like that happening recently. There was one African-American student going on a hunger strike because of "white privilege" at Harvard and two administrators had to resign. The kicker? The student's father is a millionaire. There's also a college professor that was trying to get a student reporter tossed out of a campus protest. She called to the others "I need some muscle over here" to get him tossed out. The kicker there? She was associated with the college's Journalism school. Free speech indeed.

This is why I get so outraged about political correctness. :rage:

Really hard to say anything at all to such stuff. O_o
I'm just... somewhat glad that this is not a problem here. I mean, we have our own decadent stuff too, but thankfully and at least not that. O_O

Here in the US, we pride ourselves on our liberty and freedoms. Then we let crap like that happen. It's beyond ridiculous how entitled these people are, but at the same time, they don't want others to have the same ability to speak their minds, express their opinion, or live how they want. It's no surprise that people in other countries don't like the US very much when we represent ourselves with that kind of nonsense. As an American, I am deeply embarrassed and ashamed of these whiny, entitled bullies who throw temper tantrums whenever they don't get their way.

I know, I should not be surprised. But it's just... each time I think I saw everything Social Justice Warriors can do wrong, I stumble over something like that and just have the need to facepalm hard enough to break my nose. www.breitbart.com/national-sec…

Good to know that this is not something every American does though. I mean, I know a few Americans, do chat with quite a few daily even. And they are smart people with a good grasp of what's important. I guess it's just like that: The ones who cry the loudest get the most attention in the end.
