I agree with CelestialPony. Deviantart isn't complicated. Simplifying it will destroy it. I'm pretty sure I speak for 95% of Deviants when I say we would like to keep it as it is.
If you must make big changes, you could at least put each change on a poll first and send it to all deviants so we can at least vote democratically about the changes.

I agree with CelestialPony as well. Except DON'T do the poll. Instead, here's a thought, MAKE A SETTING THAT LETS US CHOOSE WHETHER TO USE THE CHANGES! So I can go into settings and check a box that says "Use old deviantART layout and settings" BOOM. Everyone's happy.
That would be great, although having two layouts might be a site programmers nightmare, idk about how that works. But yes, great idea! I still think a poll would be better than forcing major changes on us.
All I know is if DeviantART gets these dumb changes put in place I'm changing sites.
That's exactly what I'm trying to prevent. I don't want to see the community around me leave. It would be so sad, and all the staff need to do to prevent the fall and shutdown of their website is to stop adding stupid and unnecessary updates.

If we start creating seperate entries that don't link back, it could divert the traffic we really need to come into this petition. For this petition to work we need to boost it to the top of What's Hot and Browse, so the admins can finally see it!
