You will never see them again in main games. Now, SEGA will never use playable characters again thank's to the classic sonic fans, reviewers and Sonic Friends Haters saying that they are the reason why Sonic 06 was bad. SEGA just listen to them now. This is the primarily reason why I'm not too interested in Sonic anymore.

Sorry for the long reply, I know what you mean, It's been quite a while since we've seen plenty of playable characters, and I'd be surprised to see them again soon, I prefer the older games like SA2 and Sonic Heroes
