Trust me, most if not all asian parents are like that, I'm just glad my parents allowed me to study the field.
Yeah, having to serve the army is such a bummer like really? That's 2 YEARS, I could've done so much for that length of time! This is also part of the reason why I'm trying to go the extra mile to learn on my own, get good enough to get employed for a project while studying and build a decent portfolio that could appeal to the western market by the time I graduate. Yup, learning from the net is such a huge privilege to have these days especially those instructed by the masters who really knows their stuff, I'd picked that over my classes here at NYP anytime.
Deadlines and late nights? Don't worry you'll get plenty of those, I hope you're ready for it haha
