Why do you say you're not a furry when it's plain to see you are?

I have no attraction to animals or animal-humans. That means I'm not a furry, or any other term people use for it.

You have an account on FurAffinity and E621. Mate, why are you so ashamed of being one to the point of denial? Everyone has their kinks and quirks. Look at Jay Naylor and Jollyjack.

See this is what I was just explaining to the other commenter. You associate the term 'furry' with some sort of fetish. This is simply not the case for me in the least. In no way am I a 'furry.'
Secondly I do have an fA account, to post relevant pictures and commissions and such. I however do not run an E621, if you look up pictures with my username there's about 4 or 5 people that upload my works without asking me first. In the past I've had some them taken down by contacting the site, but it doesn't really bother me anymore.

I feel the need to imform you that your mixing up casual furries with the extremists. most furries aren't attracted to their medium ((even if that is the most common sight because people are weird)) if you enjoy drawing animal-people or anthro in general you are a furry. doesn't mean you have to be attracted to them. only that enjoy drawing them.

I disagree. Such labels are unnecessary, and the term is generally used to describe someone with some sexual or relating interests to anthropomorphic beings. I enjoy drawing many things, do I then need to add even more labels to describe my artistic interests? Of course not.
I am no furry, human-y, weapon-y, or any other word with a y suffix label there might be out there. I'm simply an artist.

I agree that labels are un-necessary but keep in mind that there ARE people who aren't like the way you think of Furries. I never said or wanted to say that you yourself are a furry or labeled as anything else. just trying to point out the definition from somebody who's trying tell you theres more than one definition to the term.

Of course there is, but most such labels are used as insults or demeaning remarks. It'd be better just to let artists have their artistic interests, and to understand that there is a separation between subject matter and an artist's personal life/interests and so on. Not true for everyone, perhaps, but it is true for me.

agreed. but I rarely hear people use these labels as insults, if anything I only hear people use them to distinguish what the artists interests are and what they like to do.

I do beleive I've gotten my point across. I'll be going now.

Whenever I've been called it it's generally as a negative remark. I know what you mean though.
