I actually live in MD. Its unbelievably windy right now, but hopefully when you get here it'll be a bit nicer. I hope you have fun on your little tour around the world!
Check out some of the pictures I took when I was in the city. I got some nice ones of the cherry blossoms and some others like Romanesque, which you already saw.
Actually, the name change has to do with neither. I feel like I'm disrespecting the original masaccio by using the name, so I'm changing usernames. Its ok if you don't have any suggestions. I wouldn't expect it of you since you haven't really known me too long.
Do you live in CT or are you on vacation for the summer? Haha, and no, I won't forget about you. I'll let everyone know when I'm making the switch.
That sounds like an incredibly boring town...Relaxing, but I'm not sure I could spend a whole summer there...
I have been thinking about my new direction. I've been thinking about how my hands are fairly unremarkable in more ways aside from a few moles that I have. Yet everyone has different finger prints. Compared to facial features which we use to identify our friends and family, the finger print is so much more unique. I think I'm going to do something to play off of that, like portaits of fingers tips in old fashioned costumes or wigs. I haven't exactly decided on that yet, but it seems like an alright idea.
I kinda also want to do something with layers of text. I was experimenting today with writing out lyrics from songs on paper with pen and I thought it looked pretty interesting. Not much was legible, but I liked how it was like trying to figure out a puzzle in a way.
I'm glad to hear that you're meeting good people at least.
I definitely think the finger print one would take the most effort to accomplish correctly and not make it seem childish. I've been experimenting with stencils and using random words to fill in the stencils to the point where you can't read what it says. I think in a way that the fact you can't read it makes it more interesting and you want to look at it longer because you want to figure out what it says, like a code or something. I'll upload some stuff to my new account when its up.
I've deleted most of my stuff as it stands now. I think I'm only going to reload the stuff that I think is the best of my work. It'll just represent me better I suppose.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
