i guess it's fine if you're not making money out of it but most of my sci-fi pieces are commercial and already belong to a certain universe ( and studios ) so it's kinda weird to re-purpose them..

No i'm not making any money off it, it's purely for astetic purposes of my stories. It doesn't matter if it's from something or not, so long as it gives people the right idea. My watchers tend to know what to expect. Besides, people take CHARACTERS owned by companies, and use them in so many strange ways it's not even funny. Compared to that, I highly doubt they'll care for a picture being used to enhance a story that has nothing to do with it's universe. ... But then again, what do I know about art?
