I tend to try and avoid stuff along those lines. Although when I do go through criticisms in fandom I tend to look for deconstructions and analysis. Not just vitriol (although that can be amusing at times). Instead of looking at something and simply being angry at it it's more engaging to point out the flaws, analyze what they mean, how they fail and perhaps provide an alternative to show how it could be improved. Mistakes, flaws and crappy writing aren't really worth anything unless you learn from them.
