Apparently. It didn't help that an author I liked *did*, AFAIK, commit suicide not that long ago.

What do you expect from dicks who are like "Hey, yeah, you can write whatever rules you want but I'm not gonna follow them"? Cuz that's what it came down to. Certain mods openly said that no matter how the rules were revised to ban certain undesirable behavior of theirs, they'd keep violating them.
