You add friends by going to their front pages, and look up for the option that says "Watch this deviant" at the top, at the right of the page. Click on it, and it will add the person to your friend list.
And what do you mean with "sending the pictures to other people"? if you want to add your pictures to the gallery you have to click on the option "Submit Deviation" at the top of your page, and follow the instructions. Is that what you were asking?
