Even if I don't know much about DMC...
I totally love the third game, in fact, you should play it first, cos it's a prequel to the series and the best so far. Ah... Avoid 2 if you can help it. It would have damn near ruined the series for me if I'd played from 1 to 3.
1 is pretty good, but I liked 3 above all~
