hey there ^^ welcome to dA. Just wanted to say a little something. I wanted to critique you in saying you do need some more practice but also that you should never be intimidated by anyone. the people in the forum are a bit harsh so don't get discouraged. Work on you anatomy it's always a good place to start. The only trick to art is tons and tons of practice. Don't let anyone put you down however always be confident and you'll get it. Brittany, I can only suggest you to do exactly as ~Kyoshin523 said. Keep practicing and you'll get there!
As a tips, try to draw using real photos as reference before using other people anime art as reference. Real pics will help you a lot to understand anatomy and develop a sense of posing and body perspective. Animes are too simplyfied to help you learning that and will make it harder for you to develop your own drawing style.
