These are the lyrics from a song called Ceremony by a late 70s post-punk band called Joy Division. I have some pretty mixed feelings and emtions when I listen to this song aswell as the lyrics. For me the lyrics represent the way Ian Curtis' (Joy Divisions singer and main song writer) life was at that time, messed up, he was having mental problems aswell as serious health problems which made him collaps into seizures during conserts more often than not. Yet the lyrics show determination to live aswell as make something of his life.

Sadly just a month after they written this song and played it live only once (of which thank god are bootlegs available), he killed himself in May of 1980. Rest In Peace Ian Curtis.
