Hey, thanks for taking a look at "higher" ... And I see you like it much :)
when I could afford it I used to collect antiquarian books - see [link] for some slightly less inspired pictures of some of them.
Many thanks for the :+fav: .

you are more than welcome, thank you for sharing your work.

Some calligraphy I have done [link] - I'll probably make at least some of them into deviations.

I like what you're doing using letters as texture, as paint, not just as letters.
Impressive... I'm really impressed by the quality of your calligraphy... using computer let me do correction on my works when I failed a letter caus' I'm not really regular when I writing.

I think I'll watch your futur deviation, it's really interesting.

On Silent Benediction, I've you done it with a paintbrush ?

Thank you for taking the time to look. I'm really glad you liked the calligraphy!

Silent Benediction I did over 10 years ago; I'm pretty sure I used a single-stroke lettering brush by Daler; the paper is A3, and the strokes are perhaps 1cm wide. The brush is sometimes called (in England, where I bought it) a "rigger" - the part with hairs is quite long, so that it holds enough paint for a whole stroke.

I have not touched up any of the works on the computer except to fix problems with the scans.

A couple of the works (Style+Content and Time Past) were done last year for an exhibition of my calligraphy at a technical computer conference, XML 2002. It's the only time I've ever had a public showing :-)
Hey! Thanks alot for the fav!
Welcome :-) I think I have read LOTR 15 times in the past 33 years, not certain.
thanx a lot for the DW :)
Cool! I loved reading the books too!
