Hey bud,
I've been watching you for the past few days and I just thought I would leave a bit of tips for ya:
I suggest you browse devArt a bit more, alot of Animu artists on this board give out great tips.
I suggest looking in mah favs, there is alot of nice work there. like
for example. One of my favorite artists, (she does alot of fanart for my favorite game Tales of the Abyss) or 
who is a magnificent realistic artist.
Its how I learned my techniquies, observing others work, readin /alot/ of tuts and practicing endlessly until i got my desired result.
and don't take these things that I say as me being rude, I'm jsut helping you out as a fellow devArtist. >:3
