Been in a bit of a slump, actually. I was working my first job, the job I trained for for the past year (phlebotomy) and many months searching for a position, and JUST ready to leave training behind and start really working, out "in the field" so to speak, and drawing my patients.
But I fell on the ice at work, and have been in too much pain to even handle 90 minutes of walking/driving at once on crutches, nevermind 8 hours in SEVERAL nursing homes and driving around. Even just processing drawn blood in a (backless) chair proved to be too much.
Since my back hurt a lot and my hip a little, they decided to treat me for back pain and concentrate of the budging discs in the lower spine..... and epidurals, intramuscular shots, steroids, etc, don't stop the pain. I shouldn't remain in this much pain if it was the back and how the back was treated.
Now my back is not too bad (still sore, but MUCH better), but my hip is much, much worse.
Basically nearly 4 months out from a fall on the ice, we're not much closer to figuring out what the hell needs to be done so I can go back to the job I was only at for 2 weeks before all this happened...... It's a depressing thing, and my family is starting to doubt my creditability that I actually hurt.


An elemental lung contest? Sounds interesting; I love lungs, I should give this a go! I really, really need to take my mind off RL things every once in a while!
