*side note* You live in Orleans? Here in the States.......on of our Capitols is New Orleans............I'm sorry but mind is totally blown right now. So you are telling me they named it that for a reason? :jawdrop:

About the side note... I think Louisiana was a french colony, so I guess its capital was named after the french city of Orleans...or something like that ^^; I should pay attention in American history class XD

The french city "Orleans" was once named "Aurelianis", after the latin name of the city's ... leader ? chief ? I don't quite remember that (I could check on Wikipedia, but I'm soooo lazy tonight).
And kodzuki's right, Louisiana was a French colony, so there are many cities with french names.

Learnt this during my primary school class :P

I think it was too..............I really hate history. :| I mean really? How will it help either of us if we truly know the answer to this? Not a damn bit. :| :giggle:

I was never interrested in history either...It won't help us in our daily life to know this sort of things anyway >.>

I thought I won't have to deal with history classes ever again when I graduated, but I still have japanese and US/UK civilization at college. ^^;
