I don't think it's disallowed, per se, but it's definitely not very widespread. BC, or at least the Mainland area I live in (the south end, few hours from the border) doesn't. We have jugs and bottles and cartons like anywhere else.

I wouldn't know though. I've only lived here for about 10 years, and a good majority of those years I was stupid and only 6.02 x 10^-23 times as worldly as I am now.

Who knows, maybe it is. I certainly don't see them in super markets.

In Quebec most people use bags. I haven't seen jugs in forever. Cartons I see, but those are so small. A big family like mine would need like 30 of them.
