Well then...
For adding emoticons there are special sign orders [like = D for a simple smiley]

You just need to type them in the text window (without the gaps!) and the signs will be transformed into the emoticon you wanted!

To see a complete list of all the emoticons, you can use on the DA servers you can click the Emoticons
icon! It's located at the very bottom of the "Devious Thoughts" window (below the "Mood" window). Just copy and paste the emoticons you want into your text!

I'm not quite sure, but I guess for adding folks to your friends list you need to go to their DA.page (by clicking their name) and click the "Watch this deviant" button (it's in the top right corner)
