As much as we all hate to admit it, every breed of dog was bred to do a job. If you do research, then you will discover that pit bulls and other similar dogs were bred by dog fighters, for dog fighting. Thus, they CAN BE aggressive. I'm not saying they should be banned, nor am I saying I hate them, but they should only be kept by RESPONSIBLE owners that can provide proper care, (Preferably with a dog license!) and have done RESEARCH on the breed and the problems it may cause. The same should go for any dog, and any pet in general.

TL;DR: Be responsible with possibly dangerous dogs, and any pets.

And that is the purpose of this group - responsible pet ownership, and also only responsible breeding of temperamentally sound and healthy dogs, as bad temperaments and aggressive tendencies can very well be passed down from parents to puppies, just as health problems, and pit bull type dogs and other popular breeds / types are commonly affected by bad breeding of unhealthy dogs with unstable temperaments, which only contributes to the already very real problem we have today with not only pit bull type dogs but all breeds. Much unlike any of the other pro pit bull groups on dA that are mislead and very misinformed, we do not ever deny the reality of the tenacious, sometimes animal-aggressive and potentially dangerous nature of pit bull type dogs and any other large, high-prey driven breeds of dog, especially within the molosser family such as the Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro and many others. If you take a moment to read any of our literature, you will see that this group has very well informed, educated administrators that are responsible advocates that strongly encourage only responsible pet ownership and do not tolerate anything less than that within our group.

If you didn't notice, this group is for dogs only. Not because dogs are better in any way, but because we made a group for dogs. Simple as that.
Like I said earlier we are more than happy to discuss dogs with you here, as that is the purpose of our group.
If you would like to discuss other animals please address us elsewhere. Most of us would be happy to continue discussing other animals with you, just this group is simply not the place for that.

As stated before, most of us here are against the breeding and owning of wild animals, however we support responsible ownership of domesticated animals as pets.
Again if you would like to discuss that with us, I know I would be more than happy to elsewhere, and am sure the other admins would be to. This group is just not the place for that, though.

Thanks for your understanding. (:

We do not support / condone breeding domesticated dogs or domesticated cats with their wild relatives, that would be irresponsible. If you can take time to rant and rave at us, perhaps you can take time to actually read what we are all about here. ;)
