Hello peoples,

I'm still trying to figure out how to use deviantArt. As you can see most of my work, is well.... actually work. Most of my work is a RUSH!!!!! It must be rushed and I can only spend so much time on it... which is why some of it looks well, rushed. As days pass I've learned that composition seems to be the deciding factor in speedy work. Clients don't really care about the details, just first impressions, as for me, I love to spend time on my work, but I'm only permitted so much time. Since,,, I don't have a laptop right now, so I can't take my work home and tweak it.

Anyhow, give props to VonToten for doing this commission for me, I think he's a talented guy, and I'm incredibly surprised that he doesn't have Warner Bros. knocking down his door.

That's the truth... the car was a beast. The new ones aren't looking too good, actually all the new VW's design look like dirt. Anyhow, love your comic artwork... reminds me of Sam Keith's Maxx meets Calvin and Hobbes.

On my plate,

I just got the world's biggest laptop, it weighs a whoppin' 17 lbs. It is so powerful that it makes my work computer feel like it was engineered to make squares and circles. That being said, I got it loaded up with only the finest. Since I'm a self-taught computer designer, I'd thought it was time for an upgrade, so I'm teaching myself 3D.

I started with Sketchup Pro, made by Google. This program is very fun, and when I couple it with a V-Ray rendering engine, it's going to be crazy. I chose this program in hopes that I could enter the CAD or product development arena in my years to come. To learn this I read the manual and the For Dummies book.

I'm starting with the character program Poser, and I've just about finished the manual and I have to apply my knowledge... so I'm going to strictly animate. I'll eventually use this to put into design pieces at work, and to assist in my 2D stills.

I'm a huge Terragen fan, but Vue seems more friendly and allows me to import Poser animations, so I'm giving it a go. Currently I'm using the Learning Edition, and once I finish reading the Poser manual this will be my next program.

Lastly, there's Modo... which is amazing. I chose this program because it's being built from the ground up which is always good because technology progresses in a such a fast pace that older packages become dusty and need to be consolidated. Anyhow, I love the paint on polygons tools and it's no nonsense interface. I'm getting the book in the mail soon, so I'll start it after I learn Vue.
