... I am a pretty much self-taught graphic artist & illustrator with a broad spectrum of interests...

... On the commercial end of things, I do vehicle art... I am one of only 8 bus industry artists in the country...
... I do cars, trucks, motorcycles, RxR, and aircraft...

... Where the heart of my work lies is in illustrating the accounts of the saints & martyrs thru-out history... I've devoted a lot of my life to studying the cyclic patterns of religious persecution, and illustrating the research brings it to life, reminding us that if we refuse to learn from history, we are destined to repeat its most tragic periods...
... It is with a sincere heart that I question what category such works should be presented...
... The church is offended by some of my work, yet it has never been intended as salacious or pornographic in nature...
... I truly try to balance the horror of the physical moment with the beauty of a completed faith & the victory of spirit...
... A bloody price was paid for our salvation, and another price paid, that our Christian heritage could be passed down to us, today...

... I'm just getting started... Switched my MAC over to "Firefox" and was able to start working on transfers just last night... MUCH more to come... Hopefully, there'll be something for everyone !

definitely, i like how you're able to make such good work.
As they say "Practice"...
... but more than that, it's a matter of being & accepting yourself in no matter what you are doing... I enjoyed art in my elementary, jr high, & high school, but as I pursued it at college level --- I flunked out: I just couldn't "draw a bowl of fruit in so-n-so's style, on demand"...
... Years later I basically experimented until I found what worked for me... It took a while till I realized that my gift / talent WAS good enough to share with others, mainly because it IS a God - given gift... I honestly can't draw a straight line to save my life, if I don't feel the inspiration to do so...

Subject: Prayer Request: Somewhat Urgent...

When we bought our current Parkview Avenue home 7 years ago, we stepped up to the challenge of trying to rennovate and meet the needs of our recovering neighborhood in every possible way we could... We still have a small amt to pay off to fully own the other three houses and 6 lots we invested in...
... This afternoon, I learned that the city of Youngstown has targetted this neighborhood as part of its Y-Town 2010 / Phase 1 redevelopment... That means that we will be losing all of our properties under emminent domain, and have about 2 years to relocate and move out... There will not be much if any cash settlements offered...
... We're pretty much screwed !!!
... Everything from Canfield Rd to LaClede Ave / Glenwood Ave to Mill Creek Park --- is to be levelled & rezoned --- plans are to build a shopping complex surrounded by upper-class town-houses...
... They're going to call it "IdoraPark Village Estates"...
... A lot of folks are going to be completely displaced by this plan, and no one really cares...
... Right now I'm just sick at heart --- we've worked hard for what little we have attained --- but, we've survived life on the road in the past --- I feel mostly for my neighbors... Good, hard working OR retired people who can't afford to "upgrade" to the newly envisioned housing going in under this shady proposal...
... Anyone need a used preacher, home health-care aide, and a half-dozen cats ???
