As for my education, i had basic art lessons at school, but that was before i really got into art as a subject. It's one of those situations where, now i'm older, i look back and regret not taking full advantage of having the tuition for free at the time. However, i intend to get back to college at some point and pursue my dreams of children's illustration, or something art-related in the video-games market. I occasionally look forward and think 'Shit, i'm going to be cracking books for at least five years before i can even think about getting into the industry', but that was the hand i was dealt, and it would be ungrateful to complain about it when i have such a nice, comfortable life.

b) As for the Wacom tablet, it's really a case of practicing. I have access to a tablet myself, and i can say with conviction that once you're comfortable with how it works, it's an invaluable tool - i've pretty much stopped drawing with pen and ink, in favour of using the tablet!
c) 'Cracking the books' is a term us oldsters use for putting your nose to the grindstone and really concentrating hard on studying. It's not really used too much anymore.

It's kind of fun to do the impossible.
