Yes, Star Wars has a HELL of  lot of problems. That's not new. In a way I am annoyed at that, the lack of a violent cleaning house of the bourgoeise. Granted the overthrow of the Galactic Empire is a bit vague, but after the New Republic seized Coruscant most of the Core surrendered to the New Republic and changed politics...somehow.

Also, in 'early' Star Wars - i.e. before the EU came in, the alliance were more revolutionary than they came out in some EU novels (i.e. less of a 'priviledged republican politicians who wanted their power back' and more of 'people who were oppressed by the Empire wanting revenge' back.)

...more of 'people who were oppressed by the Empire wanting revenge' back.

...kinda like the American Revolution.

apparently actually the Alliance was originally supposed to be more of the "mexican revolution" type given the statement of fanatictism, etc.

also, 20% of the colonial population was active loyalist and another 20% was neutral. A bit different than the demographics of insurgency in the
Galactic Civil War'

Well, I'm certain all the merchandising that was there since 1977 falls in line with Marxist dogma.

The toys, the comics, the games, the coloring books... not a product of capitalism!

the storyline and the internal canon isn't inherently capitalist, and the information on what 'happens' in the universe is pretty open for all to discuss. furthermore, george lucas allows the universe to be created and guided (to a weak ass extent I admit) by the fanbase.

Also have you heard of "the capitalist will sell us the rope used to hang with him?"

Gee, I thought you idiots hated Stalin.

I like Stalin's ethnic writings and his ethnic policies ("marxism and the national question"). The U.S. needs that. Lenin/Stalin had a better track record on emphasizing national autonomy and self-determination in composition to that hypocrite Wilson. Can you find a better definition for 'nation' than "a historically constituted, stable community of people, formed on the basis of a common language, territory, economic life, and psychological make-up manifested in a common culture".

EDIT: That's different than his, "conservative" policies and him shutting down the frankfurt school intellectuals in his country, or his incompetence and ass-backwards in regards to military affairs, or other actions he conducted to roll back on revolutionary change. That shit is highly questionable.
