no problem! Thanks so much @_@ I just draw all the time XD I wasn't always able to shade well, i had a good teacher in highschool who emphasized contrast though that sometimes gets me in a little trouble with still lifes..as i take it a little too far...XD I was also heavily influenced by 's older shading style, with colored pencil and prismacolor. This was back when I was in highschool as well. It was because of her work that I became interested in trying out markers, firstly prismacolor and then I moved onto copics much later in college. Theres nothing wrong with emulating a shading style you like in order to try to learn how it might work and you can develop your own methods from there. You might be able to find some interesting tutorials online although I don't know any specifically to recommend. Okay I have rambled for far too long, sorry DX
I don't really use markers and after reading what you just wrote there, I think I might give them a try. ^^
Yeah, I looked at some tutorials before and I did learn a lot about shading and stuff. I'm just plain awful when it comes to color blending and I can't even count the number of times I've ruined a drawing because of my coloring. ^^,
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
