Welcome to ! It may be a big site but there is a near perfect spot for everybody; just need to look around.
If you need help there are a few ways: Check the FAQ. Submit a question to the Help Desk. Live support can be found in help channels on Chat. You may also be able to find answers in the Forum.
Some things to keep in mind: Use the Reply button to respond to something someone posts. If you just add another message instead of using the reply, the message will be posted but the user will NOT be notified. If you wish to tell something to someone privately, you can do it in a Note. Visit their main page and you will see the option to Send a note.
Don't forget: If you submit copyrighted works, it is against deviantART's policy and they will be deleted by the staff and you could be banned for doing so. Also, deviantART is for YOUR works NOT for images that have been found elsewhere on the internet or that you have received through e-mail chain letters.
A few things about posting: FAQ #79:How do I submit Artwork? Keep in mind that when you do submit art, dA is a community that encourages comments and critiques. Unless you are on dial-up, it is preferred that you are able to upload larger dimensions. With screen resolutions being on average now 1280x1024 and some common wide screens being 1920x1200, larger versions will be more welcomed. During submission, feel free to change the Fullview Size but then also check the Allow download of original (full-sized) image box.
In closing... deviantART is a place to have fun. Comment when you see something you like (if you like something, tell why), post your own works, be a part of the community chat and forum, and the most important thing is to enjoy your stay.
