I have posted a comment to the suggestions board titled: Prose forums not found [link]
Responses to the post have been generally in support of returning the fantasy forum. I have yet to hear from admin on the issue.
I think it's pretty much agreed that if we can't get the fantasy or genre specific forums back, then we'd like our own prose forum (specifically for prose).
I'd ask members to visit the thread and voice their support; also to do so respectfully and without insult.

Hello all, I wish you luck in getting your forum back
I think i only have ever written one piece of fantasy which was recently called "Ahkmer" But I don't think it was too good so I won't join until i can cope with writing fantasy hehe
Don't put yourself down and certainly don't avoid joining for that reason one of the objects of this club is to improve our skills by working and discussing with other writers
This spring, my professor told me, "Oh yeah, I'm retiring, so I'll need your grad thesis four months early." Suffice it to say, I haven't worked on the novel much lately! But, I'm serious about finishing it, so perhaps after I hand in my lit review I can throw it up. It's rough, like a golf shot from inside the crowd rough.

Latest Journal: Writer's Block and P vs. NP problems: [link]
Silly idea: Use THIS web as a forum. Use your journal entries as threads. Use ONE forum as a new topic dropbox or have anyone, who wishes, drop a topic in the devious comments area. You can modify this as you wish and have your members start journal forums too. You could have yet ANOTHER journal entry on this page for those members to drop their forum links. Everyone who wants to be involved this way can do so and it helps anyone with a forum increase their chances of someone visiting their personal web to read their prose. Just a thot. I've only read as far as the first part of your journal and your comments on the dA front page.
You participate in NaNoWriMo? I've always wanted to do that but have always been too busy with school in November Did you reach the mark with you novel?
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
In response to new features: The dA community stands up to preserve itself and deviously denies further separation between general members and subscribers. Gift givers express dislike for violation of their privacy.
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
