Just found Peter and Company this morning. It's awesome.
As for the newspaper publication issue, I was always surprised that things like Spiderman and whatnot ran in the paper; comics more plot-oriented that seem odd in the paper, not to mention forgetting the previous day s' (or weeks'!) comic. As for other publishing, though, internet is good for publicity in a way that newspapers really aren't (though a lot of people read the college paper, I'd think. At least here they do.), and it can really help if you're going to self-publish. But you probably already know that. Anyway, I'm going to stop being long-winded and favor you with a watch instead.

As with everything, my advice to you is that you keep your mind open. Like in Flash, you'll find works are bad [link] and good [link] , and that comes with anything.
Yup, I am a SCAD student, majoring in Sequential art with a minor in Illustration. I used to be working in 2D Animation as a double major, but it was too tedious so I had to drop it.
