I'd really love to know what program you use for your 3D work. In your Journal, you mentioned Maya and Zbrush. What would you say is the best program?

Mm, I can't say, really. I'm primarily using Maya since it's the software I started learning 3D from. A lot of people say they use 3Ds Max and I hear it's better for gaming models, but I haven't tried it out myself so I can't say anything about it. Zbrush is amazing for incredibly detailed models but I myself am still learning how to use it properly xD

Would you say Maya is easy to learn how to use? 'Cause that would be great, since I know, like, nothing. :dummy:

mm, yeah, i'd say so c:
the interface is very user-friendy and you have the option of customizing your hotkeys and making your own custom toolbar. There is also a very handy express menu that helps make everything easier to find.

But like most programs, It takes a bit of digging around for you to fully understand whats going on in there xD

If you're interested in a free alternative, I'd recommend Blender ^^

Ah, wonderful! :D How much is Maya, usually? Is Blender very similar?

try checking out the autodesk website to find the price and more info about it.
If you're a student, they're offering a free student version of Maya as well c:

Mm, well no theyre not that similar. No 2 3D programs are similar from what Ive seen. You just gotta find which works for you the most

Good luck!
