I feel the same, would have really liked to see, a central defender and Carvalho. I guess Bellerin looks ready to make that leap if needed. It just feels light at the back for some reason :/ I've liked Danny for a while, work rate really is something, hopefully he is played in position and we get the best of him.
The fact that we have yet to score an "arsenal" type goal is kind of weird, especially considering how we played in the Community shield. Hope we can click after the friendlies. My only concern with Debuchy is, that he looks like he has a few penalties and red cards in him, one of the reasons I wasn't really excited abt signing him in the first place, but he is playing really good. Callum, the guy has it, really good signing by the boss.

I agree Debuchy has that about his game right now and it needs to be worked out of him a little. I do however like his fire, as I feel we lack a bit of bite around the park. Arteta tries but just makes sloppy challenges going back to goal (see against Chamakh last season). We do need that fabled 'enforcer' in midfield though. We miss a Petit/Viera/Gilberto type player for sure.
Yeah I can't work out how we seem to have actually gone backwards since the community shield. It's all a bit scrappy of late and I don't feel AW is sure of his best attacking lineup. The constant misuse of Ozil will cost us though. For me he has to be the no 10, in the middle, behind the striker. If that means Santi misses out so be it imho, as Sanchez is far more effective out wide left than he is and we'll soon have the Ox and Theo to choose from on the right. I kinda feel Ozil should be the central 10 with Santi as backup. Big teams have big players on the bench-that's a fact Arsene has always struggled with. Also although Jack has showed signs of improvement in our last game, I'd rather have Rambo and Flamini in the deep roles. Jack's so wasteful sometimes and runs into dead ends, giving away possession.
Fingers crossed the passing clicks soon, then we'll be a force to be reckoned with. Right now we're not playing possession the way we're used to seeing and are vulnerable on the counter as a result of the lack of defense minded midfielders. We need that sorted quick, or the big games coming up will leave us playing catch up.

I think it's something he would address not summer, hopefully it's someone with stature. Wouldn't mind seeing Chambers there for a game or two.

Hahaha, let's hope so. Knowing our glorious leader he'll start him on the wing or something... In all seriousness I've got a good feeling about Wellbeck. I think he might hit the ground running and make united regret letting him go for yet another 'luxury' name player...
