I've tended to stay away from it because I really love the regular show and the bits of the original Japanese that I've seen. I'm very dedicated to the original stuff and find that it's nearly impossible for me to watch something that makes fun of it. It's not just YGO it's other series that have abridged episodes like Yu Yu Hakusho.
YGOTAS doesn't only make fun of it, I love both the original and the abridged. While LittleKuriboh (The maker) may poke fun at bits and pieces, he does respect the show and he says many times throughout the show that he makes the episodes because of how much of a fan he is and he supports the morals of the show. Sure it does make fun of bits and pieces. But you gotta love it :3
I figure people do it to respect the shows but I just can't watch abridged stuff. If I play it I have to scroll down the page so I can't see the images playing and just listen to the audio but even then I get to a point where I can't handle the 'poking fun' parts it's just something about me.
Ah. I know some people who were like that (Myself included) but eventually I got used to it
