1.- that way he can be useful
2.- now he gets to get out of the house
harry cann't know of course, cuz he hasn't learned Occlumancy... and voldemort can easily discover sirius is alive, so it will just bring down all the plan X3 And at some point of the story Sirius will show up at the maraduer's map because the marauder map never lies! So pepople will start to think harry is going crazy
