Anyhwho as fer the quote; no you DO NOT wnat doggy ears. After first seeing InuYasha, a number of my friends, including those who don't watch anime, insisted I had dog ears and that they must tweek/scratch/ per them. It was quite irritating and degrading. Funny at first, then just annoying. NOt that I don't love my buddies, btu ARGH!

Actually, that journal entry is quite old. I was just about to change it, but thanks for your concern. I no longer feel that bad, though I still don't trust ANY institution. I do trust my friends and nice people (like you).

Anyway...

Actually, I'd like the idea of people touching my doggy ears! I really do. The only thing I wouldn't like is humanity's obviosu rejection of me. I'm not "normal." I'm "subhuman." It'd be like blacks vs. whites all over again...

All the same, in an anime world, it'd be nice to have such a keen sense of hearing!

I wouldn't actually mind the ears either, come to think of it, they're much more acute to expressing one's self. Just not the touching of them

And speaking of the subhuman issue, name a hybrid in any series that isn't treated like crap.

Yes, the benefits of having such ears does outweight the occasional tweak session. I mean, Inuyasha himself does seem to do fine with them, and all his powers, and doesn't complain too much...

As for a weird hybrid... I'm sure I could think of one who wasn't discriminated against... because he never revealed he was. I seriously doubt humanity would greet me with open arms. Instead, I'd expect a lot of death threats, religious groups organizing trying to insinuate I'm an inferior race God wants them to kill, and probably being kidnapped by scientists for research against my consent.

Errrm... I wasn't trying to say I am a furry or... anything like that. Or do anything remotely like an RP. I wasn't pretending to be anything, either. I was merely speaking hypothetically. You know, "If I did have those ears, how would the world react?" I was just trying to explain the serious downsides in comparison to the humorous fun parts of previous points.

And I'm quite aware that life would be shitty. I've got stuff living in my brain that are sorta internal extensins of myself, so I sorta live through and with them. (No, I'm not crazy, that's just part of me. I know I'm talkin got myself when I argue with them.)
