:icondwmissyplz::iconsaysplz: *no longer feels the ripples of the Time War chasing after her, but still can't stop running, further and further across the universe with no plans of stopping until she reaches the furthest point possible from that hell, terrified of being found and killed for desertion, but it only makes her angrier and more dangerous than ever... they should have /won/ that war, /would/ have done if the Time Lords had been better prepared, or had at least brought her back earlier and let /her/ make the decisions... she's ashamed for running, of course she is, but when everyone's dead around her with Daleks swarming on her from all sides, what else could she do? She'd already had to regenerate once during those endless battles and ended up in an unfamiliar female body, the fear of going through that all again, or worse, not regenerating, got the better of her and now she has to live with that* *stops on the edge of a city on a planet she doesn't recognise, but only for long enough to claim some discarded black jeans and a hoodie to replace the tattered old things she's been in for god knows how long and to steal a few scraps of food before she's off again, running and running and running through the stars*

:iconninthdoctorplz::iconsaysplz: *traces the signal through the vortex – it’s erratic, bouncing through time with almost reckless abandon, like something that doesn’t /want/ to be traced, almost as though the one signaling is unaware that they’re doing so, and just trying to get away from… something?* *can’t help but think about who it might be though – after all, if a lone Dalek had survived the war, then why is it so ridiculous to think that a resourceful Time Lord or Lady might have made it out too? The real question, of course, is /which/ Time Lord or Lady! To be that resourceful does narrow it down considerably – even in the heart of the war, the majority had been the same as ever… so that leaves those more like him, the renegades… or possibly Romana* *still, focusses his efforts on tracking the signal, following its twists and turns through space and time until he can find somewhere it stops for longer than a few seconds, setting that as his location, to arrive before it seems to leave and hope that the Time Lord or Lady in question doesn’t either run or attack the moment he materialises* *starts the sequence, a feeling of anticipation, mixed with a faint fear in his stomach, not really knowing what it is he’ll find, or what state they’ll be in, physically or mentally*

:icondwmissyplz::iconsaysplz: *only dares to stop again after several more leaps across the universe when she finds herself by the edge of a river, kneeling to drink from it and then can't quite find the energy to get up again... she's lost track of how long she's been running for, but it must have been a /long/ time for it to be starting to tire her out* *looks around for somewhere she could shelter but there's nothing close by, just miles and miles of open fields, so she could walk here, or take her chances by carrying on with the vortex manipulator and see if she finds anywhere else she'd feel safe enough to rest for a bit* *before she can decide though, feels the wind pick up, and through it she can hear a sound she hasn't heard in /so/ long... the unmistakable sound of /that/ TARDIS* *doesn't trust it for a second though... it could be stolen, it could well be someone else in there, someone here to capture her, drag her back into the war, kill her... she's set too many traps in her time to not suspect that this could be one* *forces herself up and runs from where it's materialising, putting a good distance between her and it before she looks back - she won't write off the chance that it /is/ him - but she needs to be prepared to defend herself if it isn't* *pulls out the knife she's stolen on her race through the universe - her only weapon, but it's better than nothing - and stands ready to set the vortex manipulator if she has to, watching warily to see who emerges from that blue box*

:iconninthdoctorplz::iconsaysplz: *for once takes the time to scan the surrounding area – if this is someone direct from the Time War, who knows what they might have with them! But the area seems clean, just one shining life-form. Unmistakeable. Twin hearts, the signature of the Time Vortex, and the artron energy which make up just one species. Time Lord.* *moves to the door, wary, hearts pounding, wondering just what he’ll be greeted with when he opens it. Reaches into his pocket to pull out the sonic screwdriver. It may be harmless, but he’d rather give someone a second thought if they do mean to attack* *steps out, looking around until he spots the figure watching him* They’re holding something, but at this distance it’s hard to tell what, or who they are.* *calls out loudly, trying to hide the mixture of excitement and trepidation he feels.* Hello? I caught your signal on the TARDIS. Thought you might like some assistance?

:icondwmissyplz::iconsaysplz: *resists the urge to step further back as the door opens, she won't give whoever it is any sign that might make them think she's scared of them - even if they are here to kill her, she'll /never/ let anyone think she's scared* *sees the unfamiliar figure emerge - definitely a Time Lord, she can tell that from here, and her hearts skip as she recognises the Doctor's scent, one she's never forgotten, in the air... but even that could be a trick. She's taking no chances* *calls back, a vicious edge in her voice, wanting him to be fully aware that /she/ will be in control here and isn't to be messed with* Who are you?

:iconninthdoctorplz::iconsaysplz: *can smell a familiar scent in the air too, although can’t quite place it – it’s been a long time since he came across it, but that doesn’t mean too much* *listens to the voice – it’s unfamiliar, but sounds like a Time Lady – not that it narrows it down too much… or at all in fact!* I’m the Doctor! It’s okay, I’m here to help. Why don’t you tell me your name? *can here the viciousness in her voice… but can also catch the hint of fear behind it. He can’t know for sure, but he’s fairly confident that, for her, she’s fresh from the Time War, only just escaped by the skin of her teeth. She’s running and she’s scared and she doesn’t want to go back, which is definitely understandable! He doesn’t know how that could have happened, and it’s concerning to say the least, but that’s not his main concern for now. He’s not the only one. Someone else survived!*

:icondwmissyplz::iconsaysplz: *feels conflicted again when he says that - exactly the way he /would/ introduce himself, which almost makes her more suspicious... she just doesn't dare to risk it* *shakes her head at his question, and shouts back defiantly, although an edge of wariness is obvious* Prove it!

:iconninthdoctorplz::iconsaysplz: *blinks when he says that – he’s not quite sure how to take that, or how he can prove anything* *takes a moment, but knows there’s only one thing he can do – everyone knew that in the war, the Doctor never carried a weapon. Not that he thought of himself as the Doctor, but that didn’t stop everyone from calling him it.* *slips his sonic screwdriver back into his pocket, then raises his hands, empty palms outwards* Look, I’m not armed. I just want to help. Come closer. *pauses, then realises that if she won’t give her name, there’s not a chance that she’ll come to him here* Tell you what, we meet half-way? No sudden moves, no tricks, just meet in the middle, neutral ground. I can’t prove anything while you’re all the way over there!
