Professional. I don't like that word, because on other galleries, so called professional artists are bad mouthed. I think there shouldn't be any title for artists.

MetaLeath It's strange that the word "professional" when attached to the word "artist" seems to get bad mouthed so much. The way I'm using it I believe is a purely objective way, refering to career rather than any aspect of my artwork itself. Meaning that it is my career, I don't have any other job, and earn my living from my art.
I don't think in that way there is any thing wrong with using the term "professional".

How did you become a 'proffesional' artist and get your artwork on so many different things? My boyfriend's an aspiring artist and wants to make it a thriving career, thats why I was asking. I dont know exactly what he wants to do, but I know as long as he gets to paint and draw he wont really care. He's just really worried that he'll get through school and look at the rest of his life thinking, "Now what?"
